Description: | The objective of this study was to determine the overall irrigation management when various supply sources are mixed and presented seasonal variations of heavy metals and metalloids. The research was conducted in the Juarez Valley Chihuahua. The raw sewage and waste-mixed at six locations for a year water sampling. The Al, B, Cr, Cu, Fe, Li, Mn, Mo, Ni, Va, As, Cd, Pb, Se and Zn elements were determined. The results were compared with the maximum permissible limits (LMP) for agricultural use, established by Mexican standards and US-EPA. The Cr, Mo, Ni, Va, Cd and Pb elements and were not showed variations in the minimum detection values. Aluminium was the element that exceeded the LMP for two samples corresponding to PV and corresponding to Loma Blanca and San Isidro. Manganese was the element that approached the LMP since it is abundant in most of the resources that come from deep pumping. Copper and arsenic showed lower concentrations to PML and have a typical and reasonable behavior to assess the concentrations of these elements in the Rio Grande water pumping and deep. |
